Yes, I think it is long over due for an update. I have really neglected my blog this year. I worked the last year in front of a computer, so when I got home the last thing I wanted to do was get on the computer. I have a few past (long past) events I need to catch up on at some point. I will try to do those very soon!
Well as you all know, Josh and I have moved to Los Angeles to help Ian and Krystle take care of baby Liam. It was definitely a challenge getting all that needed to be done tied off before we left! Josh needed to transfer, we needed to find renters, and we needed to sell our second car. Things were not looking good for a while, but with many prayers, everything that needed to happen did! We sold the jetta, found a nice couple to rent our home, and a week before we left, Josh was offered a good position at a Home Depot close by! Phew!
Now came all the packing, we moved EVERYTHING out of our home! I didn't think we had that much stuff, but we surely did! Thanks to all the help we received from family and friends, we were able to move everything out, and leave our home SPOTLESS for out renters.
We left our home Friday morning on December 30th. We drove to St. George to spend the night, stayed at a crazy little motel, got several helpings of our favorite Orange Peel Bubble Teas, and hit the road to LA. We arrived at I&K's around 3:30 on Dec. 31st. Josh and Ian moved all of our stuff in in less that 30 minutes so we could get the trailer back to Uhaul before they closed! Power movers!
We spent the next few days organizing our stuff, playing with Liam, and trying to get to know the area a little better. We went to church on Sunday, and it seems like a very nice Ward. The weather has been fantastic, we have been going on walks and runs everyday. I love it!
It will take some time to adjust, and for me to learn how to take care of Liam, but we will figure it out. Josh's first day of work was yesterday, and it went great! He had a lot of fun, and has a lot of work to do. I am so glad it went so well!
I'll try to take more pictures!
