iPhone pics- On our way to California

We left for California on December 30th after we finished packing up the trailer, moving out the final items, getting the carpets cleaned, and saying final goodbyes to Family. We stopped by my parents house to drop off some final things we couldn't take. My Mom, Rachael, and Trever were there to say goodbye, and it was hard. We all shed a few tears. I sure miss my Family!
We stopped in St. George for the night and stayed in a really strange motel.. but it was cheap! We made sure to get plenty of Bubble Teas from Orange Peel so it was all worth it! The next day we drove all the way to LA. Ian was here to help us move in. We got all of our stuff inside in under 30 minutes! Power Moving! I stayed here and tried to organize some stuff while Ian and Josh took the trailer back.
We were all pretty pooped. We showered and got cozy, watched the countdown in Time Square on TV, said cheers, and went to bed soon after that!
I don't care what I do for New Years, as long as I am with Josh, I am good. It is a New Year and  New Adventure for us in California. We are really happy to be here!

Saying goodbye!
On our way with our little trailer!

Our First Home

This is our first Home. It is a lovely town home/condo in West Jordan. I wanted to post some pictures of it. I just loved our home. It was a little small, but it was beautiful, and the perfect starter home for us. We bought it 3 months after we got married, and have really enjoyed living there. We spent over three years there before we decided to pack up and move to LA for a while to take care of Liam. We didn't sell the home, it is still ours, but we are renting it out. After a lot of prayers, we found some good renters who we both felt good about. They are a young, married couple, no kids yet, and were perfect.
We are very happy to be here in LA to help out Ian and Krystle, take care of Liam, and have a new adventure in a new place. It has been a great experience so far. I really do miss my home though. My parents were kind enough to let us store most of our belongings at their home while we are here. But we did bring our mattress! We could not part with that! I miss the space, I miss the comfort and quiet that our home has. I miss my big tub for sure! I miss our patio, and the great view of the Valley. I also miss how close we were to my parents and sister! I miss a lot of things, but life is about taking that next step, and I know this is where we are supposed to be! I enjoy sweet Liam so much, we definitely spend a lot of time together with Ian and Krystle's ABSOLUTELY CRAZY schedules. I feel bad for how much they are away, but I am glad I can be here to be Liam's Auntie Andree! Ian and Krystle just love Liam so much, and boy do they make one cute baby! The cutest baby I HAVE EVER SEEN!
I don't know if we will ever live in our home again, or just continue to rent it, and buy an actual house when we get back, we will see, but I have very found memories there, and am so glad to own such a great rental property! ;)

Girls Christmas Get Together 2011

This year we got together after Christmas at Emily's house. I am so glad I got to see these girls before I left. I love them all so much, and I love it when we are able to get together. We eat delicious food and laugh all night. I love how we always try to get a picture every year, even when you have to set a timer to get it! We have been getting together every Christmas for 10 years! :) Love you girls!

Palm Trees and Blue Skies!

Loving all the Palm Trees here in LA. The weather here has been AMAZING! The one thing I don't miss in Utah right now is the WEATHER! Sunshine and Blue Skies are A-OK with me!

The Reason we came

This little bug is the Reason we came down to LA to live with Ian and Krystle. Today is his 4 month Birthday, so Mommy put him in his "old man" sweater this evening to take his picture. I had to snap one for myself too. Liam is getting cuter everyday, and we have a great time together! He is becoming so much more aware of his surroundings. I am excited to see him grow, and learn new things. He is my little stinker bug! xoxo

Time for an update....

Yes, I think it is long over due for an update. I have really neglected my blog this year. I worked the last year in front of a computer, so when I got home the last thing I wanted to do was get on the computer. I have a few past (long past) events I need to catch up on at some point. I will try to do those very soon!
Well as you all know, Josh and I have moved to Los Angeles to help Ian and Krystle take care of baby Liam. It was definitely a challenge getting all that needed to be done tied off before we left! Josh needed to transfer, we needed to find renters, and we needed to sell our second car. Things were not looking good for a while, but with many prayers, everything that needed to happen did! We sold the jetta, found a nice couple to rent our home, and a week before we left, Josh was offered a good position at a Home Depot close by! Phew!
Now came all the packing, we moved EVERYTHING out of our home! I didn't think we had that much stuff, but we surely did! Thanks to all the help we received from family and friends, we were able to move everything out, and leave our home SPOTLESS for out renters.
We left our home Friday morning on December 30th. We drove to St. George to spend the night, stayed at a crazy little motel, got several helpings of our favorite Orange Peel Bubble Teas, and hit the road to LA. We arrived at I&K's around 3:30 on Dec. 31st. Josh and Ian moved all of our stuff in in less that 30 minutes so we could get the trailer back to Uhaul before they closed! Power movers!
We spent the next few days organizing our stuff, playing with Liam, and trying to get to know the area a little better. We went to church on Sunday, and it seems like a very nice Ward. The weather has been fantastic, we have been going on walks and runs everyday. I love it!
It will take some time to adjust, and for me to learn how to take care of Liam, but we will figure it out. Josh's first day of work was yesterday, and it went great! He had a lot of fun, and has a lot of work to do. I am so glad it went so well!
I'll try to take more pictures!
