Love this quote.

“A silly idea is current that good people do not know what temptation means. This is an obvious lie. Only those who try to resist temptation know how strong it is.... A man who gives in to temptation after five minutes simply does not know what it would have been like an hour later. That is why bad people, in one sense, know very little about badness. They have lived a sheltered life by always giving in.”

“Only those who try to resist temptation know how strong it is. ... We never find out the strength of the evil impulse inside us until we try to fight it: and Christ, because He was the only man who never yielded to temptation, is also the only man who knows to the full what temptation means—the only complete realist.”

Looking Back: New York Part 1 CENTRAL PARK

I am finally going through all of our pictures from New York last May! It will be easier for me to section it off! Part 1 is Central Park! I don't know if any of you have been to NYC before, if not, you should, and Central Park is a Must! You are in such an enormous city, and then you step into this sanctuary, which in itself is enormous, and it's glorious! It was a rainy day when we went through, but it felt fresh and clean, and green! I loved it!

Liam Today

Little Liam at 7 months old. He is such a cutie pie, and just so much fun. He loves to say "Na na na", he wants to stand up all day long, and he gets frustrated that he can't run around the house. He always wants you close by, and he still has his Rapture Scream that sends chills down your spine. I just want to kiss him all day long!

Valentines Day Weekend

Valentines Day really is one of my favorite Holidays! I love pink and red, I love hearts, I love candy, and it is a day to celebrate LOVE! What's not to love about it? This year was really great! We celebrated the weekend before with a delicious dinner at Hillstone in SM... oh boy, it was one of the best meals I have ever had! The steak and prime rib were superb! Then we did a little shopping at the mall afterwards!
I always look forward to my box of See's truffles from Josh every year... always so delicious! This year Josh got me some white gold diamond earrings! They are beautiful, and really the perfect pair of earrings for me! Simple enough to wear everyday, elegant, and the white gold does not irritate my ears! Great job babe!
I love making Valentines for others. I made some cute little treats for my visiting teaching ladies, and Liam helped me make a card for his Mom and Dad! Hope you all had a great V-Day!

FYI: I did correct the spelling on this card... :/

Fun in the Sun!

So I have been loading all of these pictures using the blogger app on my phone, and it really loads the pictures with no rhyme or reason, it just puts them in whatever order, no matter what order you upload them... whatever I guess...
We try to get out of enjoy our time here whenever we can. Fortunately the beach is pretty much free, just a little money to park, but it really isn't too bad. We are 4 miles away from Santa Monica Beach. Venice is also right there, but Josh and I prefer SM. It is clean... Venice is a bit trashy to be honest. SM Muscle Beach is also right there. There really are a lot of tough people who hang out there. Its like a huge playground with bars and rings, and to be quite clear... its really really tough! You will get quite the workout, and pinched hands, like I did!

There are a lot of theaters close by, and we have seen some pretty good flicks here. 2012 has been the year for movies... just a lot of good movies coming out!

We brought my bike and my dad's old bike along with us, and I am really glad we did. I feel like a kid again riding bikes with Josh!

Biking to the beach is always tons of fun. Warm sand to squish our feet in is just as fun!

Santa Monica Pier

We haven't done a lot of hiking around here yet, but I did hike up the Santa Monica Hills with Ian and Krystle, and it was a beautiful view! We hope to do a lot more hiking in the future! Take advantage of those mountains Utah peeps!

So many interesting plants and flowers here!

This place really is beautiful.

We LOVE the OCEAN!

Our first week in Cali

Well we have been here for nearly 5 months now, I thought it was time to update the good old blog. I have not been using my poor camera at all, just my iPhone camera! But we have taken a lot of pictures, and if any of you still look at my blog and want to follow me in instagram, you will see more of those pictures!
Liam baby is such a big boy now, he has really grown so much since we got here. He is now 7 months! Amazing! Our first week he was still getting used to having us around, and spending his days with me. We went on lots of walks, he loved it!

Of course we had to go to the beach! When we are there, all the home-sickness, or stresses, or whatever just go away! Josh and I love listening and watching the ocean!

We are still getting used to our ward, but there are a lot of very nice people, and I just got a calling as a RS teacher... a little nervous, but excited!

Baby Liam loves his bath time. He is just a little tike right here, but oh so sweet! I have really enjoyed his company!

Of course we had no complaints with the beautiful weather here! This picture was back in January! It was so hard to believe it, we just kept forgetting what time of the year it was!

I knows'es my poses.... Not!

I was asked last winter to model for a friends new clothing store. Josh snagged a few pictures from the shoot, and I thought I better blog them so they don't get lost in our sea of pictures. It interesting to be in front of the camera, what you think might look alright, really looks stiff and funny in the pictures. But it is always a good experience, cause I really don't like to do it often! I'm too critical of the results! Aghh!
