The Girls

Well we didn't get many of you out this year, but it was still a great time. We met at Julie's house this year, ate yummy soup, and talked all night. It was intimate and nice to get together again! I love all you girls!

Our new iMac!!

We finally got our new computer! We absolutely love it! We just have a lot of info to transfer to it, all our pictures, music, documents, etc... We will soon have photoshop too, then we can get to work! I am so excited!

MLS CUP CHAMPS!

Isn't Real awesome! They were destined to be Champs that's for sure! The final game against LA Galaxy was great! We definitely deserved to win! Josh was so excited when we did! They had a little celebration at the Stadium when the team returned home. It was free, so of course we decided to go! Josh wanted to get a pic with all the trophies they won this year, especially the MLS CUP!

Halloween 2009

Halloween was a good time this year. I worked and made a lot of money, and Tiggy and David had a party at their new house. It turned out well and we had fun. Josh and I dressed up as Jareth, the Goblin King and Sarah, from the Labyrinth! It was pretty hilarious! It was so funny to see Josh with make-up and tight pants too! Ray and Trev were Rogue and Nacho! Tiggy was a 70's detective and David was Chuck Norris! I wish I took more pictures from the night! We had fun, it's always great dressing up for Halloween!

St. George Marathon!!!

Getting ready to get on the buses!

Josh took some pictures of this helicopter while we were running.

The boys waited for us at the 2 mile mark. I was so happy!
Josh followed me on his longboard and took pictures of me!

The last mile was so long! I just wanted to finish!
Josh and I watched for Ray to come in and cheered for her!

So glad to be finished!

They gave everyone who finished a metal, so special!

Love my honey!

Well it finally came! The St. George Marathon was last Saturday October 3rd. We drove up to Parowan the evening before, went to dinner in Cedar, and didn't get to bed until 11:30 or so. I had a hard time trying to sleep until the alarm clock went off at 2:30 am! We got ready and drove to St. George to get our race packets and load the buses. It was pretty cold that morning, especially up at the starting line! But they had hot chocolate and bonfires to stand around which helped. Rachael and I just went off at a comfortable pace and took advantage of the down hill sections, just trying to stay as smooth as we could. I had to stop for the potty around 7 times during the race, which for me isn't too bad I guess. I just wish I didn't have to so much because it really slows me down. Rachael and I tried to stay together as long as possible. We separated about the 8 or 9 mile mark. I felt pretty good until I hit the 18 mile mark! Thats when my body started killing me, my back, my knees, my feet! Ouch! It was tough for a while, but when I hit the 23 mile mark I was ready to finish! I picked up my pace a little and just went for it! It was a great feeling! The scenery was beautiful, and it was the perfect marathon running weather, it never got too hot. I absolutely loved this experience. My training was difficult, and I had a few set-backs along they way that really effected my training, but I feel really good about my first marathon and I am excited to do many more. I think this will need to be an annual tradition along with the Moab Half. I just have to thank Josh for being such a great support and cheerleader for me, and for taking all the pictures! Rachael and I will be writing more about our marathon experience on Metree and we will be spotlighted on CraziBeautiful later this month! So check it out!

Great Song!

Okay so you can't get these songs anywhere, so I had to post them so I could have them somehow!

Love this song!

Autumn Colors!

Josh and I took a drive up the canyons yesterday! We needed to make sure to see the Autumn trees before the storm comes on Wednesday. It was so much fun, and absolutely beautiful! I love Autumn, it is probably my favorite season. I just wish it would last longer!

Anniversary Week!

Josh and my First Anniversary was on Sunday August 9th. It was pretty low key because it was a Sunday of course, plus we were planning to take a little vacation the next week. He had some beautiful flowers waiting for me when I got home from work Saturday!

Sunday evening we made Fett. Alfredo. It was delicious!

We tried to make it romantic by having sparkling cider in the flutes we were given for our Honeymoon.

My mom saved a piece of the three flavors we had for our cake in her freezer.

Surprisingly it wasn't that bad!

Josh took work off the whole next week for vacation time. We planned to leave on Wednesday, so we decided that we better spend some time painting our bedroom. We picked a nice gray color, and it looks great! I should have taken pictures of it finished, well almost... we need to borrow an 8 foot latter to get the high parts of the ceiling because it is way too high for the 6 foot latter we used. We are also planning on painting the master bathroom as well. Painting is hard work! Josh put our initials in a heart! Ahh!

I loved it so much we kept it that way! Just kidding!

So for our little vacation we decided to spend some time in Southern Utah! Josh had never been to the house in Parowan, so that was our base camp. We actually spent a night in Vegas. I didn't take any pictures while we were there though. We spent the night at the Stratosphere, which ended up being a mistake because you could hear everything in the room next to us! This person had the tv on every time we went to the room at 3pm, 6pm, 11pm, 2am. It was like they were in our room, so we called the front desk and they sent security up and there ended up being nobody in the room! They just left the tv full volume. So they turned it off and we went to sleep. Around 4am in the morning, this person comes stumbling in and makes all these grotesque noises. I think he was throwing up in his room! Then he immediately turns on the tv and leaves it on until we checked out! It was horrible! I went down and checked out and told the manager what our night was like. They apologized and gave us free breakfast at the buffet, which was pretty good. The night before we went out to dinner with one of Josh's mission companions and his wife. They were really nice, and that was really the only good time we had in Vegas. They drove us up to see the Vegas temple too! It was beautiful and it was so busy! Seriously as busy as the Jordan River gets! It was really great to see that! We walked around the strip before we went to bed, and it was so so TRASHY! It really just made us sick! So needless to say, we wont be going back for a long time!
When we got back to Parowan, we decided to take a quick drive up the Canyon to Cedar Breaks! Beautiful as always, and really windy and cold... as always!

The next morning we decided to spend the day in St. George and go to the Temple! It was really beautiful! We went to an Endowment session, then took some pictures outside!

We took "Vogue" pictures of each other outside the temple!

Lookin' Good!

A nice worker took our picture together. The only one of both of us on the trip!

After the temple, we thought we would have time to go on a hike at Zions! We were wrong. It has changed a lot since I had been there last, it had more of a theme park feel, and the prices had gone way up! So we just decided to hang around the town for a bit, then went back to St. George for dinner.

Before we came back home on Sunday, we drove up the Canyon again to enjoy the fresh air! It was beautiful! I love the mix of white and red rocks up this Canyon!

Me jumping in Josh's shot!

This is the "E.T." rock of my childhood!

I really like this shot.

Josh took a picture of me trying to climb the rock! I look like some strange sloth creature! Ha!

Our silly jetta got us where we needed to go, thank heaven! We drove it to save on gas! We ended up driving over 1000 miles on this trip! Yikes!

Josh and I are so happy we were able to spend the week together and relax! It was so great to get away and we can't wait until we can get away again! Our trip wasn't perfect, but we had a lot of fun together! We love each other so much and we are very excited to share our lives together!
